This is the documentation of my own learning journey during the BlueDot upskilling project. I aimed to generalise some of the principles and made it into an interactive guide that others can adapt to their own learning journey.

This is not a curriculum to follow but rather a general guide to learning any skill of choice. It relies heavily on BlueDot’s upskilling materials but filtered through what I found the most useful and with my own additions to it. The main difference is that I broke some of the reflection points done to make it even more accessible and that I provide my own reflections as an inspiration.

Disclaimer: I have some teaching experience and have done one ultralearning project before but I do not claim to be an expert. Please take this guide as an inspiration and adapt it to your own needs and preferences.

This is best suited for people who

  1. Already know the basics of AI Governance (e.g. took the BlueDot course)
  2. Are short on time (though the plan is adjustable): I spent about 3 hours/week on it, for 4 weeks

The high-level structure of the upskilling project:

  1. Understanding your why
  2. Understand my current position in AI Governance- related skills
  3. Choose one or several subskills to improve upon
  4. Measure the baseline of those subskills
  5. Device a study plan (& iterate it)
  6. Measure the results of your learning

You can follow the sessions at any pace that suits you, taking one session a week or several at once.

IMPORTANT: I incorporated my own reflection answers as a dropdown function, in order to serve as an inspiration/guidance. I highly recommend that you try answering the questions yourself before peaking at my answers, in order to avoid anchoring bias.
